The Kimberly Heights Sanitary District was formed in 1960 to provide sanitary sewer services to the Kimberly Heights subdivision located in Section 20 of Bremen Township, Cook County. The subdivision consists of 242 lots covering approximately 160 acres.The District is bordered by Cook County Forest Preserves on both the north and east, 167th Street on the south, and Ridgeland Ave on the west.

The District maintains a sanitary sewage collection system currently servicing 233 homes, a church, and a public school. A portion of this subdivision is now within the corporate limits of the Village of Tinley Park, and a portion remains unincorporated Cook County. Sewerage treatment and disposal is provided by the Metropolitan Water Reclamation District of Greater Chicago.
