"13th" the Documentary and Panel Discussion
<h2>In commemoration of the birthday of Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr., the Law Office of the Cook County Public Defender, in conjunction with the Chicago Department of Cultural Affairs and Special Events, is proud to present the documentary "13th" by the Director of the movie "Selma", Ava DuVernay. This documentary presents a historical and cultural context for the mass incarceration of black men in the United States of America. The viewing will be followed by a panel discussion, led by Public Defender Amy Campanelli, of community leaders to be announced shortly.
