Law Library Presents: Marijuana in the Workplace, an Update and a Look Forward
Please join this seminar to learn about the history of cannabis, overview of current laws and insight into the likely future of current workplace policies.
Provided by Lexis and hosted at the Cook County Law Library, this in-person seminar presents the past, present and future of drug-free workplace policies and cannabis law.
Forty-five states and the District of Columbia (DC) have legalized marijuana in some form and a few more have decriminalized it. Twenty of these states and DC have legalized marijuana for recreational use as well as medical use. However, marijuana remains illegal under federal law. Regardless of whether or not marijuana is legal, employers likely will not want their employees using it at work. Please join this class for a history of cannabis, overview of current marijuana laws and insight into how changing times will likely impact our current, drug-free workplaces.
1.0 Minimum Continuing Legal Education credit is available for this session.
