Registration Deadline for 2015 Annual Property Tax Sale
<p>If you intend to participate in the 2015 Annual Property Tax Sale, you must submit your completed registration online, provide your required bidder identification, and complete an online collateral deposit transaction/letter of credit/bond, no later than <strong>Friday, March 24, 2017 5:00 p.m. (Chicago local time)</strong>. </p>
Under Illinois law, the Treasurer’s Office is required to hold an Annual Tax Sale. If property taxes for the immediately preceding tax year are delinquent on a parcel, they are offered for sale to tax purchasers at the Annual Tax Sale. The 2015 Annual Tax Sale is for tax year 2015 taxes payable in 2016.
Registration for the 2015 Annual Tax Sale begins Friday, February 10, 2017 and ends Friday, March 24, 2017.
The 2015 Annual Tax Sale will be conducted in four days starting Monday, April 3, 2017 through Thursday, April 6, 2017 with a re-offer day on Monday, April 10, 2017 at Cook County Treasurer's Office, 118 N. Clark St., Room 112 (Randolph Street entrance), Chicago, IL 60602. Hours of the 2015 Annual Tax Sale are 8:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. (Chicago local time).
