Cook County Board Approves Construction Contract for Road Improvements in Suburban Cook County

The Cook County Board of Commissioners approved a $3,885,158.74 contract today between the County’s Department of Transportation and Highways (DoTH) and K-Five Construction. Based out of Westmont, IL, this construction company will begin work early next year on DoTH’s pavement preservation and rehabilitation projects located at:

  • 167th Street from Will Cook Road to 104th Avenue in Orland Park.
  • Walker Road from Apple Avenue to Main Street in Lemont.
  • Wolf Road from Butterfield Road to St. Charles Road in Berkeley.

Approximately four miles of roadway will be improved across all three projects. Improvements also include road resurfacing, curb and gutter replacement and ADA sidewalk upgrades.
