Cook County Board Approves Funding to Improve Transportation Throughout Cook County
The Cook County Board of Commissioners approved funding today for transportation-related projects, maintenance-related equipment and materials for the County’s Department of Transportation and Highways (DoTH).
The type, cost and scope of each project is listed below.
Countywide Geotechnical Engineering Services | $750,000
Professional services for soil sampling, testing, analyses and recommendations to support the design of transportation improvement projects countywide.
Liquid Calcium Chloride | $166,666.25
Purchase of de-icing materials for County-performed snow and ice removal operation.
Crew Cab Dump Trucks | $585,724
Purchase of crew cab dump trucks to transport materials and maintenance work crews to and from job sites.
