Cook County to Host Job Fair for Federal Workers and Other Interested Job Seekers

Cook County Government will host a Cook County Job Fair on Thursday, June 26, 2025 from 9:30 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. at the Isadore and Sadie Dorin Forum at the University of Illinois-Chicago.

In light of recent layoffs in the federal government, Cook County especially wants to support former and current federal employees who seek opportunities in local government. The Cook County Job Fair promotes a more inclusive economy by connecting County residents to quality jobs and connecting County employers to a skilled and diverse talent pool.

"The County is committed to providing opportunities to address the needs of both local government and job seekers," said Cook County Board President Toni Preckwinkle. “We know that there are many people seeking new or better jobs. This job fair comes at the right time to make the critical connections for those interested in a career of public service.”

Six County bureaus representing 34 departments will be on hand to discuss fields that include Manufacturing, Healthcare, Transportation, Distribution and Logistics and other sectors. The Sheriff’s Office, the State’s Attorney’s Office, Assessor’s Office, Cook County Circuit Court, the Forest Preserves and Cook County Health will also be participating.

Job seekers should bring copies of their resume, dress appropriately and be prepared to interact with potential employers during the Job Fair. Job seekers can register at cookcountygov.info/JobFair.

The job fair will be from 9:30 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. on Thursday, June 26 at 725 W. Roosevelt Road, Chicago, Illinois, 60607.
