Workplace Strategy and Design Guidelines (WS+D)
ALIGNING THE WORKPLACE TO SUPPORT COOK COUNTY’S MISSION, VISION, VALUES, AND GOALS
Successful workplace design strategies look to future trends to inform an analysis, and also to internal initiatives to make a business case that supports ongoing strategic initiatives. The Cook County Policy Roadmap highlights supporting communities that are Healthy, Vital, Safe and Thriving, Sustainable, Smart, and Open.
Cook County WS+D Executive Summary
As we move forward with space planning projects, we incorporate the concept of workplace design to enhance workplace engagement and make space serve the needs of theuser and have the ability to adapt to unforeseen changes. We accomplish this with a careful study of departmental goals, employee work patterns, interactions with technology and the inclusion of sustainable practices. By giving employees greater control over their physical workplace, including access to private spaces, we can increase workplace satisfaction and employee engagement. This includes enhancing and promoting collaboration, particularly for teams based across different locations.
