Cook County Gives Launches 2022 Campaign

A message from President Preckwinkle:

We're launching our 2022 Cook County Gives Campaign and with your help, we’ll build a stronger and more equitable Cook County.

We want our community to be a place we’re proud to call home and that gives us what we need to lead happy, healthy lives. Did you know that according to United Way’s research, 35% of households in Cook County struggled to make ends meet each month? We don’t want families to have to make impossible choices between food, rent, medicine, transportation and internet access. For many of these households, the pandemic amplified the inequities they face – especially racial –impacts to our health, income and stability.

Together, we can tackle the systemic inequalities by building strong and equitable neighborhoods.

We’ve all been affected in different ways and what unites you, me and all of us in Cook County is our commitment to do better and do more. Today I am inviting you to pledge your support for the 2022 Cook County Gives Campaign where you can designate your donations for organizations that are making Cook County the best it can be.

This year, our Cook County workforce has generously given more than $85,000 to assist residents across our County. For the 2022 campaign. we are featuring Cook County Health Foundation, Forest Preserve Foundation of Cook County, UNCF and United Way of Metro Chicago. You may also donate to United Way’s nonprofit partner agencies or to a 501c3 nonprofit organization of your choice.

I personally support Cook County Gives and I hope you will join me in supporting our community. Together we can make a significant impact.
