Notes potential future fiscal challenges while highlighting smallest gap since taking office

Today, Cook County issued a notice to employees regarding the Minimum Wage Ordinance (MWO).

Effective July 1, 2022, the minimum wage will increase to $13.35 for non-tipped workers and $7.40 for tipped employees.

We are pleased with Fitch Ratings decision to upgrade Cook County’s ratings from A+ to AA- with a stable outlook. Furthermore, S&P also moved the outlook for the County to stable from negative and Moody’s reaffirmed its rating as well.
