Cook County Board Approves Four Tax Incentives Designed to Support Economic Growth
Cook County Commissioners today approved four proposals from President Toni Preckwinkle’s Bureau of Economic Development (BED) that will provide tax incentives to businesses in Cook County.
The incentives, which will either create new or save existing jobs, were approved in the following communities: Countryside, Des Plaines and Elk Grove Village.
As a result of redevelopment activities, these incentives should support the creation of an estimated 107 new private sector full-time jobs, retain an estimated 25 full-time jobs and support 125 construction jobs.
“The companies receiving these incentives have demonstrated their commitment to our communities and residents,” Preckwinkle said. "I’m pleased that we are able to use our tax incentive tools to either keep or expand businesses in Cook County.”
Details on the incentives follow, listed by municipality:
• Business Name: 5300 Dansher Road LLC , 5300 Dansher Road, Countryside
Type of Business: Industrial warehousing and logistics
Project Description: Related industry will occupy the site as a third part logistic and warehousing company.
Type of Incentive: Class 6b
Estimated: 20 full-time jobs created; 25 full-time jobs retained; 30 construction jobs supported
• Business Name: AP Asset Management LLC, 1794 Winthrop Drive, Des Plaines
Type of Business: Industrial warehousing
Description: The applicant plans to lease the subject property to an industrial user for warehousing and/or distribution.
Type of Incentive: Class 6b – TEERM (Temporary Emergency Economic Recovery Modification) Incentive may not be renewed.
Estimated: 25 full time jobs created; 5 construction jobs supported
• Business Name: DCT Industrial Partnership, 2393 Wolf Road, Des Plaines
Type of Business: Industrial warehousing
Description: The applicant intends to lease the property to an industrial user for warehousing and distribution.
Type of Incentive: Class 6b
Estimated: 25 full-time jobs created; 50 construction jobs supported
• Business Name: Exeter Operating Partnership, 1300 Pratt Boulevard, Elk Grove Village
Type of Business: Warehousing and distribution
Description: Applicant has leased the property to Prime Blend for warehousing and distribution of adhesives and American Mattress for warehousing and distribution of mattresses.
Type of Incentive: Class 6b
Estimated: 37 full-time jobs created; 40 construction jobs supported
