Four Incentives Approved by Cook County Board Designed to Grow Vital Communities
Today, Cook County Commissioners approved four proposals from President Toni Preckwinkle’s Bureau of Economic Development (BED) that will provide tax incentives to businesses in Cook County.
The incentives, designed to promote economic growth, were approved in the following communities: Elk Grove Village, Markham, Matteson and Melrose Park.
“The companies receiving these incentives, designated for either industrial or commercial use, have demonstrated their commitment to helping us grow equitable, vital communities,” said President Preckwinkle. “Our tax incentive tools are used to either keep or expand businesses in Cook County."
Details on the incentives follow, listed by municipality:
Applicant: Pisco USA, Inc
Location: 1180 Pratt Boulevard, Elk Grove Village
Property Use: Industrial - warehousing, manufacturing, and/or distribution
Description: The applicant will occupy the site for warehousing, manufacturing, and distribution of pneumatic products.
Type of Incentive: Class 6b
Applicant: Lanigan Properties, LLC
Location : 3052-62 W. 167th Street, Markham
Property Use: Industrial - warehousing, manufacturing, and/or distribution
Description: The Lanco Group of Companies operates in four distinct industries: Intermodal, Manufacturing & Technology, Heavy Equipment and sports & Entertainment. This facility will be used as a workforce training center
Type of Incentive: Class 6b
Applicant: Kiddie Scholars, Inc
Location: 1031 Kostner Avenue, Matteson
Property Use: Commercial Use – Nursery School
Description: Kiddie Scholars Day Care Center with a preschool program
Type of Incentive: Class 8
Applicant: American National Bank and Trust Co.
Location: 1975 Cornell Avenue, Melrose Park
Property Use: Industrial Use – Warehousing, manufacturing and distribution
Description: The applicant will lease to Signco, Inc. a sign company to design, manufacture, and install signs to meet the unique needs of every industry.
Type of Incentive: Class 6b
