Utility Coordination Council

Service Information

In accordance with Illinois Compile Statute 605 ILCS 5/9-113, the Cook County Department of Transportation and Highways (DoTH) established a Utility Coordination Council to promote effective communication with respect to planned transportation projects that may require utility relocation. With the establishment of a Coordination Council, the County can enforce a 90 day utility relocation policy.

DoTH hosts an annual Utility Coordination Council Conference that provides an opportunity for utility owners and municipalities to learn about planned transportation improvements along Cook County highways. A copy of the most recent presentation packet is available at the link below:
