Cook County Residents Eligible for Spay/Neuter Discounts in February

Program offered by County’s Animal and Rabies Control as part of 
National Spay and Neuter Awareness Month 

Pet owners can bring their dogs and cats to participating veterinarians throughout Cook County to receive a $40 discount on spay or neuter services in February. The County’s Department of Animal and Rabies Control (ARC) is offering the spay and neuter program during February – Spay and Neuter Awareness Month.

Cook County Board Approves Funding to Improve Transportation Throughout Cook County

The Cook County Board of Commissioners approved funding today for transportation-related projects for the County’s Department of Transportation and Highways (DoTH). These vital projects boost economic development, build up regional transportation and improve the quality of life throughout Cook County.

Cook County Department of Emergency Management and Regional Security Awards Over $2.7 Million for Urban Area Security Initiative Projects

Cook County Board President Toni Preckwinkle along with the Cook County Department of Emergency Management and Regional Security (EMRS) today announced the recipients of 17 grants to fund projects under the 2023 Urban Area Security Initiative (UASI) grant program. A total of $2,736,542 will be distributed across local fire and police departments as well as other public safety partners.
