Applications for the Cook County Promise Guaranteed Income Pilot Open Thursday, October 6

(COOK COUNTY, IL) — Today, President Toni Preckwinkle reminded residents that the Cook County Promise Guaranteed Income Pilot will be opening its application portal later this week. Eligible Cook County residents will be able to apply for the pilot beginning Thursday, October 6 by visiting promisepilot.cookcountyil.gov. The application portal will remain open until October 21.

The Source Grow Grant program will award $71 million in grants to thousands of small businesses beginning in 2022. Applications will open on October 3.

Cook County Announces $10 Million to Revitalize Neighborhoods Through Brownfield Remediation Program

Cook County Board President Toni Preckwinkle announced $10 million for the Neighborhood Revitalization Brownfield Remediation program at a remediated brownfield site in Bellwood, Illinois today. The program is spearheaded by the Cook County Department of Environment and Sustainability (DES) to assess and remediate contaminated brownfield sites in suburban Cook County to promote economic growth and investment through redevelopment for businesses, housing, parks and other uses that benefit communities. The County began accepting nominations for site selection today.
