County’s animal control administrator urges caution as temperatures remain low

Pet owners should take special precautious with dangerously low temperatures still forecasted.

Cook County Animal and Rabies Control urges Cook County residents to vaccinate their pets against rabies after a kitten tested positive for rabies in Carroll County IL. 

Cook County’s inaugural low-cost rabies vaccine clinic of 2017 will take place Tuesday, May 30, from 10 a.m. to 2:45 p.m. at the Southwest Ice Arena, 5550 W. 127th St., Crestwood.

The canine flu has re-emerged this year, and Cook County Animal and Rabies Control is advising pet owners to vaccinate their dogs in order to protect them from the disease.
