On Monday morning, Cook County Animal and Rabies Control warden John Haralamos received a call from authorities of a dog found in a trash bag on the side of the road in Willow Springs.

More than 1,500 coyotes reside throughout Cook County. While they are very unlikely to attack humans, it is important to take precautions to ensure the safety of residents and their pets.
