Parts of Cook County could see up to 12 inches of snow over the next day as a winter storm moves across the area starting tonight. Cold weather creates hazardous conditions for residents and their pets.

Dangerously low temperatures are forecast over the next few days. Wind chills will make it feel as cold as -25°F Tuesday night with bitterly cold temperatures continuing into Wednesday.
