Cook County Animal and Rabies Control reminds residents to take advantage of low-cost rabies vaccines and free microchips before clinics conclude at the end of August. The four remaining clinics are all open 10 a.m. – 2:45 p.m.

Cook County Animal and Rabies Control released its 2019 low-cost rabies vaccine and microchip schedule. The first clinic is on Tuesday, June 4, from 10 a.m. to 2:45 p.m. at Brookfield Village Hall, 8820 Brookfield Ave., Brookfield.

More than 1,500 coyotes reside throughout Cook County and springtime means it is their mating season. Cook County’s Animal and Rabies Control reminds pet owners to be vigilant during coyote mating and whelping season.
